The parties discussed the possibility of using Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities to serve as an international gas hub, as well as further steps to deepen cooperation in the energy sector. This includes joint energy projects, the development of renewable energy sources, and the involvement of Ukrainian companies in the modernization of Azerbaijan's energy infrastructure.

During his working visit to Baku, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk met with Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov. The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector. The parties also discussed cooperation on the development of energy markets and ensuring Ukraine's energy security.

The EU will establish closer cooperation with Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Georgia, Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan and will develop regional cooperation in the field of strengthening infrastructure interaction, as well as the modernization of transport, energy, and digital networks along the Black Sea. The parties are focusing on continued cooperation on gas supplies, in particular through the Southern Gas Corridor, as well as on opportunities to expand green energy links and work on market integration across the region.

A second batch of humanitarian aid was sent to Ukraine from the Sumgait Technology Park. Alesker Hasanov, head of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy, told reporters that the humanitarian aid includes more than 52,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 17 transformers.
